WISE HEART – international retreat with VINNY FERRARO – SPIRIT ROCK

For generations, practitioners have stepped away from the hum of daily life to sit in the quiet of their own hearts. A silent retreat offers us an chance to slow down, listening deeply, and remembering what’s always been here.
You are warmly invited to join this shared field of practice, a few days of turning inward in the good company of Sangha. Together, we’ll cultivate steady presence, softening into the natural radiance of the unobscured heart. No need to force anything—just the simple, courageous act of being here, moment by moment.
This is an all-terrain practice: whether sitting, walking, eating, or resting, we bring awareness to it all. Through stillness and movement as well as shared silence, together we’ll explore how each moment conditions the next—how mindfulness ripens into wisdom, and how wisdom deepens into freedom.
Of course, there’ll be sessions for questions as well as ways to connect as a sangha.
You don’t need to bring anything but yourself, just as you are.

DATE AND VENUE

An IN-PERSON retreat, titled “ WISE HEART”, will take place in the enchanting landscape of the Benedictine Abbey of Maguzzano
(https://www.museoabbaziamaguzzano.it/), located at Via Maguzzano, 4, Lonato del Garda (Brescia), about 15 minutes from Desenzano Train Station.
The retreat will take place from the afternoon of Wednesday, September 16th, to lunchtime on Sunday, September 20, 2026, ending after lunch, and will be led by Vinny Ferraro, guiding teacher at the Spirit Rock Insight Meditation Center in the U.S. (www.spiritrock.org) 

Vinny Ferraro is a leading figure in the field of Mindfulness and specifically works with educators and incarcerated individuals. He has been trained and teaches in the Buddhist tradition of deep insight and has been leading the Big Heart City Sangha in San Francisco since 2004. The authenticity of his teachings reaches the hearts of many people.
As a fully qualified Dharma teacher at Spirit Rock and the Insight Meditation Society (IMS), he leads residential retreats at Spirit Rock, the Insight Meditation Society, and the Esalen Institute. He currently heads the Year to Live course at Spirit Rock in the United States, where he shares his teachings alongside Frank Ostaseski and leads one-day or multi-day retreats at Big Heart City and meditation centers across the country.

The fee includes teachings, translation services, and all organizational expenses. Spots are limited.

ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS

Accommodation and meals are not included and will be arranged by Associazione Sati Mudita on behalf of the group. This cost is to be paid on-site in cash or by card.
€80 per night for a single room with a private bathroom (full board).
€70 per night per person for a double room (twin beds) with a private bathroom (full board).
